The Navy Yard was alive with excitement as runners, walkers, and supporters gathered for this year’s Navy Yard 5K. Under clear blue skies and crisp fall air — the kind of weather every runner dreams of — hundreds of participants laced up and took to the course for a fun, fast, and community-filled afternoon.
The day kicked off with our lively Health & Wellness Expo, where participants explored a variety of vendors. One of the biggest hits of the day was the Skechers demo booth, where runners had the chance to test out the brand’s newest performance running shoes right on the course.
After some quick warm-ups and plenty of cheers from the crowd, the race began, weaving through the scenic pathways of the Navy Yard, past the Riverfront, and finishing in the heart of Central Green. The energy was contagious from start to finish, with coworkers and friends encouraging one another every step of the way.
While every participant was a champion, we’re proud to recognize this year’s top finishers:
- First Male: Brandon Kintish (15:30)
- First Female: Grace Mancini (17:59)
- First Non-Binary: Towanda Sydnor (28:34)
- Final Finisher: Lisa Blake-Mumford
- Largest Team: U.S. Navy
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible sponsors — AVE Living, URBN, Courtyard Marriott, Rothman Institute, Skechers, Ensemble Mosaic, and Tastykake — for making this event possible and supporting wellness and community engagement at the Navy Yard.
From start to finish, this year’s 5K was filled with laughter, determination, and celebration. Congratulations to everyone who participated. We can’t wait to see you back at the starting line next year!
