October 14, 2025
This October – November, the Navy Yard will be supporting Camp Out For Hunger by collecting canned food donations! At this time of year when many people experience food insecurity, the Navy Yard community comes together for a common cause.
Local nonprofit Philabundance partners with WMMR’s Preston & Steve to end hunger for good and to provide healthy meals to communities facing food insecurity in the area through Camp Out For Hunger.
Kick Off Event
This year, the Kick Off event will be at the Navy Yard 5k, Wednesday, October 15, 11:30a-2p at Central Green. You can bring your canned food donation, cheer on our runners, enjoy lunch from food trucks, and an appearance from WMMR’s Preston Elliott and Steve Morrison.
