Barilotti Wealth Strategies: History, Impact, and Community
As we continue to celebrate Small Business Week at the Navy Yard, we’re thrilled to spotlight Barilotti Wealth Strategies, a financial planning firm with a powerful mission and a deep appreciation for both people and place.
Founded by Christy Barilotti, Barilotti Wealth Strategies focuses on serving first-generation wealth clients—primarily small business owners and employees of publicly traded companies. Christy’s passion for making financial planning accessible and personalized has shaped every aspect of the business.
Originally located in Center City, Christy made the decision to relocate Barilotti Wealth Strategies in June 2021 to a more welcoming and serene environment. She found the perfect new home for her team—a former naval officer’s quarters along the Delaware River on Admiral Peary Way at the Navy Yard. The move wasn’t just about a change in scenery. It was a thoughtful step toward creating a space where both clients and team members could feel comfortable, inspired, and connected.
Taking advantage of the gorgeous riverfront views, Christy designed the office so that the desks and chairs face the water, giving her seven-person team and clients alike a daily reminder of the beauty around them. The building itself, steeped in history, offers unique moments of connection—especially with clients who have ties to the military.
“I’ve had some older clients with spouses who were in the military say they’d been in this house before for parties when they were in active duty,” says Christy. “This historical connection is so great to have with my clients who’ve served our country.”
Beyond financial planning, Barilotti Wealth Strategies is also giving back to the community in a meaningful way. The team participates in a mentorship program for high school students, who love visiting the Navy Yard to explore, play games, and participate in enriching activities.
