Navy Yard Transit is a weekday bus service that connects Center City, NRG Station, and destinations throughout the Navy Yard.

The service makes it easy to commute to campus, connect with regional transit, and travel between workplaces, amenities, and destinations across the Navy Yard.

TripShot is Coming August 31

We’re upgrading the Navy Yard Transit rider app.

Beginning August 31, TripShot will become the official rider app for Navy Yard Transit, replacing the current Navy Yard Transit app (Apple & Android).

TripShot introduces new tools designed to make riding transit more convenient, including:

  • Enhanced real-time bus tracking
  • Mobile boarding passes
  • Passenger and bike capacity information
  • Personalized rider alerts and notifications
  • Integrated trip planning with SEPTA
  • Improved GPS visibility and route information

TripShot is a highly rated transit platform used by organizations across North America and will support a more connected rider experience for employees, residents, patients, and visitors.

We’ll share everything you need to know before the transition, including how to download the app, sign in, purchase tickets, and access mobile passes.

NRG LOOP

The NRG Station Loop provides weekday service between NRG Station (Broad St & Pattison Ave) and destinations throughout the Navy Yard.

CENTER CITY EXPRESS

The Center City Express provides weekday service between Center City and the Navy Yard, offering riders a direct commute between downtown Philadelphia and campus.

Winter Weather

During the winter months, there is a high risk of major delays in service due to slow/stopped traffic on Route I-95 and in Center City. As implemented in the past, this “Winter Weather Emergency” shuttle plan will apply:

If we declare a “Winter Weather Emergency,” updates will be shared through TripShot, the Navy Yard’s website, and social media. We will give as much advance notice as possible, though service changes may need to take effect immediately depending on weather conditions.

NAVY YARD-NRG STATION LOOP – AM:
The first run will depart from NRG Station at 6:10 AM (no 5:38 AM shuttle).

No schedule change unless the storm is so severe it forces us to end service early. If we must end service early, we will notify riders through TripShot, the Navy Yard’s website, and social media.

CENTER CITY EXPRESS: NO SERVICE.
