The Jefferson Comprehensive Concussion Center has opened in the Commerce Center in The Navy Yard! The new concussion center, located at 4050 S. 26th Street (adjacent to the 26th Street Gate), is the first of its kind in the Delaware Valley and boasts a collaborative initiative of local partners Jefferson University Hospital, Jefferson University Physicians, Rothman Institute, Wills Eye, and AI duPont Nemours for the treatment of concussion under one roof.
The 7,000 square foot facility includes amenities such as soundproof testing, light controlled rooms and a dedicated rehab wing for vestibular, cognitive and physical therapies, in addition to a host of services ranging from sports concussion management to full neuropsychological testing, nerve block injections, and ocular therapy.
The Center is led by Co-Clinical Directors Dr. Mijail Serruya, Cognitive Neurologist, and Dr. Robert Franks, Family and Sports Medicine Physician. The Center will be hosting an open house for the public come early spring.
