February 2024 Schedule
Feb. 1 – Retail Tenant Outreach Event: PIDC and Ensemble/Mosaic are hosting a retail tenant outreach event at the Navy Yard. The goal of the event is to attract and engage with qualified tenants interested in leasing retail spaces in the emerging Navy Yard neighborhood.
Feb. 1 – Chapel of the Four Chaplains Annual Awards Banquet: The Four Chaplains Memorial Foundations Annual Awards Banquet takes place each year near the anniversary of the sinking of the U.S.A.T. Dorchester (February 3, 1943) to honor the memory of the Four Chaplains who gave their lives to save others. The banquet is a great way to gather together our Friends of the Chapel and to celebrate the lives of these four men-of-God and to honor people in our community who also lead lives of selfless service.
Feb. 2 – Four Chaplains Day: Congress declared February 3rd as “Four Chaplains Day”. The Chapel of Four Chaplains is holding a Four Chaplains Service with guest speaker is Chaplain (COL) Karen L. Meeker, Command Chaplain, AFRICOM, US Army.
Feb. 8 – Employee Networking & Happy Hour: Join us for our quarterly networking happy hour. There will be free food, free drinks, and games to enjoy. Happy Hour is a free event, but registration is encouraged. THIS EVENT IS FOR EMPLOYEES AT THE NAVY YARD ONLY.
Feb. 14 – Red Cross Blood Drive: FS Pride, an FS Investments’ employee resource group, is hosting the drive to raise awareness about the FDA’s updated blood donation guidelines which make donating more inclusive for the LGBTQ+ community. The drive is open to the public. If you are interested in donating blood, please sign up here. Walk-ins will also be accepted.
Every Tuesday – Navy Yard Running Club: The Navy Yard Running Club is an all-levels group open to anyone and is always free. The group meets at 12th and Constitution and runs between 2-5 miles, or interval runs finishing up at Gatehouse for HH. Stay up-to-date on running club news, schedule changes, etc. by following the NYRC on Facebook and Instagram.
2nd & 4th Wednesdays – Sub & Surface Toastmasters Club: Toastmasters is an international organization to improve speaking and leadership skills. The club is open to the public. No registration required.
