The Navy Yard campus is coming together and will be hosting different donation drives that will benefit several different organizations in the community. Different Navy Yard businesses will be collecting donations directly at their offices for Navy Yard employees, but there will be several locations for public drop offs.
Treats for Troops: Now – November 3
Do you have leftover Halloween candy that you need to get rid of? Well, FS Investments will be leading a collection drive to collect candy for deployed servicemembers.
The public can drop off donations in the main lobby of 4747 S Broad St., Bldg 101, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Campout for Hunger: Now – November 16
It’s time for Preston & Steve’s Campout for Hunger drive benefitting Philadbundance. We’re looking to fill up our donation bins with non-perishable food items to help those in need this holiday season.
There will be two public drop-off locations at the Navy Yard:
– Courtyard by Marriott South – Navy Yard, 1001 Intrepid Ave
– Main lobby of 4747 S Broad St., Bldg 101, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Veteran Sock Drive: Now – November 16
The Chapel of the Four Chaplains is collecting NEW socks to be donated to the local veteran community.
New socks can be dropped off at the chapel at 1201 Constitution Ave, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Wreaths Across America: Now – December 16
The Chapel of the Four Chaplains is asking for your support to help honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you. More information can be found here.
