Legendary 6-ABC Action News anchor Lisa Thomas-Laury will serve as celebrity MC.  One of the first African American women to anchor TV news in a large U.S city, Lisa became one of the most popular local TV anchors in the country.  Lisa recently published her memoir, “On Camera and Off, When the News is Good and When It’s Not” about her groundbreaking career as a journalist at Channel 6 and her struggles dealing with a difficult medical diagnosis, the rare disorder called POEMS syndrome.

The Philly Pours VIP event will feature an exclusive cocktail presentation with special guests André and Tenaya Darlington, siblings and co-authors of three books that revolve around cocktails: The New Cocktail Hour, TCM’s Movie Night Menus, and the new Booze & Vinyl.  Their creative pairings of cocktails with movies and music will make for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at this year’s Philly Pours.

When: Thursday, June 14, 5:30 pm
Where: The Fretz Showroom in the Philadelphia Navy Yard, 4050 S. 26th Street, Philadelphia, PA
