PIDC, Philadelphia’s public-private economic development corporation, announces an exciting partnership with ESM Productions and Vetri Family to manage events at The Navy Yard during the 2016 Democratic National Convention. PIDC has made The Navy Yard, located adjacent to the Convention floor, available for private events for convention-goers, corporate hospitality groups, and other private events related to the Convention. With over 870,000 square feet of space, The Navy Yard can host events ranging from 10 to 7,500 attendees. ESM Productions will manage all Convention-related events and Vetri Family has been selected as the exclusive food and beverage partner.
ESM Productions, a premier, Philadelphia-based event production company, has been selected to lead the efforts to utilize the venue. ESM will supply the world-class design, technical know-how, and production experience necessary to transform The Navy Yard into one-of-a-kind event spaces.
Christina Wong, Vice President of ESM Productions, will oversee the project. Wong stated, “We plan to offer a very adaptable structure that can be used for a variety of events throughout the Convention. We look forward to the memorable and exciting experiences that we can design and execute at The Navy Yard.”
Critically acclaimed Vetri Family, headquartered at The Navy Yard, has been selected as the exclusive food and beverage partner for events hosted at The Navy Yard. A former naval shipyard now transformed into a dynamic urban business campus, The Navy Yard has a variety of beautiful event spaces. The Marine Parade Grounds, a nearly 350,000 square foot space, offers the perfect canvas for any event, large or small. In addition to the Marine Parade Grounds, there are other spaces available including Central Green, League Island Park, Crescent Park, and the Riverfront Greenway. The Navy Yard offers the perfect mixture of exciting, unique event spaces, critically acclaimed food, and convenience for events of all shapes and sizes. Rental of these spaces will include access to specially designed and developed infrastructure, including water, power, and restrooms. The Navy Yard’s convenient location is on shuttle routes to and from other Convention sites and hotels.
