PIDC, Philadelphia’s public-private economic development corporation, announces an exciting partnership with ESM Productions and Vetri Family to manage events at The Navy Yard during the 2016 Democratic National Convention. PIDC has made The Navy Yard, located adjacent to the Convention floor, available for private events for convention-goers, corporate hospitality groups, and other private events related to the Convention. With over 870,000 square feet of space, The Navy Yard can host events ranging from 10 to 7,500 attendees. ESM Productions will manage all Convention-related events and Vetri Family has been selected as the exclusive food and beverage partner.

ESM Productions, a premier, Philadelphia-based event production company, has been selected to lead the efforts to utilize the venue. ESM will supply the world-class design, technical know-how, and production experience necessary to transform The Navy Yard into one-of-a-kind event spaces.

Christina Wong, Vice President of ESM Productions, will oversee the project. Wong stated, “We plan to offer a very adaptable structure that can be used for a variety of events throughout the Convention. We look forward to the memorable and exciting experiences that we can design and execute at The Navy Yard.”

Critically acclaimed Vetri Family, headquartered at The Navy Yard, has been selected as the exclusive food and beverage partner for events hosted at The Navy Yard. Jeff Benjamin, Chief Operating Officer at Vetri Family, said, “What an incredible opportunity to showcase Philadelphia and the growth that is taking place at The Navy Yard. We are honored to work with PIDC and ESM Productions to be able to help create world-class events directly adjacent to the main stage.”

“Philadelphia is the proud host of the 2016 Democratic National Convention, and we are excited to welcome convention attendees to the city and The Navy Yard,” said John Grady, President of PIDC.  “The Navy Yard, with its unique blend of history and close proximity to the Convention site, makes it the ideal place to hold Convention-related events. Through a competitive process, we selected ESM Productions and Vetri Family for this project because of their industry expertise, local relationships, base of operations, and their creative event concepts. ESM brings their longstanding entertainment producing experience to this project, and Vetri Family has unparalleled talent in the culinary world and with major events. ”

A former naval shipyard now transformed into a dynamic urban business campus, The Navy Yard has a variety of beautiful event spaces.
