The Navy Yard and Vincera Institute are pleased to welcome Alexander Poor, MD to the Vincera Institute’s physicians’ clinic. Dr. Poor specializes in minimally invasive surgery, and treatment for hernias and other related conditions. Dr. Poor earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed his residency in General Surgery under Dr. William Meyers at Drexel University College of Medicine. He has participated in several basic science and clinical research studies, as well as contributed to book chapters. Dr. Poor serves as associate director of research at Vincera, focusing on basic science and clinical research that advances understanding of core anatomy and the pathophysiology of its associated injuries.
