The Navy Yard is pleased to announce the addition of a new, convenient Zipcar car sharing location! Employees at The Navy Yard and the nearby South Philadelphia neighborhood now have access to “wheels when you want them” with the addition of a Zipcar centrally located outside of 201 Rouse Boulevard.
Zipcar is a 24/7 self-service global car sharing company. Car sharing allows members and companies to shed the costly and time consuming bonds of car ownership and only pay for what they actually use. Zipcar for Business offers cars by the hour or day with gas, 180 miles and insurance included. Become a member, reserve a car, and use your special Zipcar card to enter the car and drive. When you’re done, return the car back to the same location. Companies can open a billed account and receive 50% off membership fees and reduced hourly rates Monday through Friday for employees.
Since 2000, Zipcar has expanded into 31 major markets, 67 airports, and over 518 smaller towns and universities around the world. Right now, Zipcar is offering all Navy Yard businesses a $25 driving credit when opening a company account, and Navy Yard employees a $10 driving credit to register as a member.
