Join us for a powerful screening that honors legacy and resilience! "Invisible Warriors" tells the untold story of African American women who worked in factories during WWII.

Join us for a special screening of Invisible Warriors: African American Women in World War II, a powerful documentary that tells the inspiring and often overlooked stories of African American “Rosie the Riveters” who courageously served on the home front during World War II.

Through personal interviews and rare archival footage, the film brings to light the struggles and triumphs of these trailblazing women who helped change the course of history.

Following the screening, there will be a Q&A panel featuring the film’s director, Gregory Cooke, offering a unique opportunity to gain deeper insight into the making of the documentary and the stories behind it.

This screening is part of the Navy Yard’s celebration of 25 years of transformation from a former naval base into a dynamic hub of industry, job creation, and economic impact on Philadelphia. The Navy Yard was a vital site for shipbuilding and repair during World War II, with 40,000 workers–including Rosies–employed at the shipyard.
