On Saturday, March 23, the American Welding Society (AWS) and Rhoads Industries (Rhoads) hosted students from high schools across the five-county Philadelphia region to compete in a shielded metal arch weld (SMAW) competition at the Navy Yard. 

Rhoads Industries Announces Start of 4-Year Welding Apprenticeship Program

Last month, Rhoads Industries announced it was approved for registration with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Department of Labor to conduct a Welding Apprenticeship Program.  Founded in 1896, Rhoads is a family-owned and operated multidiscipline provider of industrial fabrication, installation, and maintenance services for commercial and government projects, headquartered at the Navy Yard.
